Stacy Quarty did such a great job giving the realistic view of pregnancy. The best part was reading to my husband and him understanding that it’s not all in a woman’s head. I recommend this book for every pregnant woman and those who will be around her to read this book. Very helpful!

Love the book!
The best part was having my husband read the parts I underlined for him and watching the realization dawn in his eyes.
Even better, was having him then start at the beginning on his very own.
Thanks!

Finally someone writes a real book about real things during pregnancy — the good, the bad and the ugly! I loved every page of this book. It was super informative, super funny and perfectly honest. A must read for those that are prego or want to give a friend a helpful and fun pregnancy book! Bravo!

“Frankly” is very frank indeed, and fun to read. I am learning so much new stuff about my own body. Even though I am not pregnant (nor do I plan to be), I find this book informative, down-to-earth and refreshing. The author is not ideological or excessively “sex positive” but she is no prude. When it comes to the “ick factor” in pregnancy, she is deeply sensible and tolerant of other people’s hang-ups, including those of men. At the same time, she really does explain a lot of things — in straightforward, helpful language — that we’re embarrassed to talk about. If you have a teenager or tween, get this book and keep it around as a sex ed tool. It will help young women to understand what a serious business pregnancy can be, and will also (perhaps) act as an icebreaker for a discussion about how the body works. I’m learning things about the female orgasm that I didn’t know, even though I have a very healthy active sex life.

Bought it for my wife after reading some of the author’s website. She’s hysterical. I though my wife could use a little bit of a lighter, more “realistic” take on pregnancy then all the “What to expect” type of books. She loved it.
And kudos to the author for finally referring to the raging hormones of pregnancy as they are… Horror-mones. (her words, not mine). Even though I am blessed with an extremely even-keel wife, I heartily concur with that new term… (and so will every guy out there).
Good book… provides a nice chuckle along with some good info and some very funny questions that you probably wanted to ask at least once but were to embarrassed too. Enjoy!
